Record a material test result

The test result appears in Performance on the material card, with its value and source.

Before you start

  • The material is saved in Materials. A material you are still creating has no Performance card yet.

Record the result

  1. 1Go to Production → Materials and click the material. In Performance, click Add result.
  2. 2In Property, pick what was tested. The unit fills in by itself. In Value, enter the figure from the supplier or the lab, for example -2. Source starts at Supplier declaration. Switch to Lab test or In-house test when a lab or your team measured it. For Tear strength or Seam slippage, also pick Direction. Add Method and Test date if you have them, then click Add result.
Shrinkage has its direction in the property name.
  3. 3For a woven or knitted fabric, repeat steps 1–2 until both Shrinkage in length and Shrinkage in width have a result. Production readiness needs both, and a supplier declaration is enough.

Check the result

Each result is a row in Performance with its value and source. With both shrinkage rows saved, Shrinkage (length and width) no longer shows under Production in Readiness.

Shrinkage is complete with one row for each direction.

If it does not work

  • Add result at the bottom of the window stays grey — Property or Value is empty. Pick a property and enter a value.
Next
  • Attach a file to a certificate or test result — add the lab report to the result.
  • Check what a material is missing — see what else Production readiness needs.
