Claude creates a new material from your supplier's data, and it appears in Materials as Sampling.
Before you start
- Claude is connected to go4.fashion.
- Your role has Create & edit products in Settings → Team → Roles.
Create the material with Claude
- 1In a chat with Claude, ask for a new material. Give its name and type, for example knitted. Name the unit if it is not metres. The material starts as Sampling. Name another status if you need one. Add what the spec sheet has:
- colours with the supplier's codes
- the supplier with its article code and price
- values such as weight
- 2Read the preview Claude shows: name, type, unit, status, colours and supplier. Nothing is saved yet. If something is wrong, tell Claude and read the new preview.
- 3Answer yes. Claude confirms the material is saved.
Check the result
In Production → Materials, the new material shows Sampling in Status. Open it. Under a value in Specification or Compliance, you see Claude and the date. Next to it are Unverified and Mark as verified.
Other situations
Undo the new material
Use this when you created the material by mistake, within 24 hours of saving.
- 1Ask Claude to undo it. The preview says the material goes to the archive.
- 2Answer yes.
If it does not work
- Claude says the brand already has a material with this name — give the new material another name.
- Claude leaves the price out because your role does not see amounts — someone who sees amounts adds it in Suppliers & pricing. See “Save the supplier's article code”.
- Claude says your role cannot change products — your role lacks Create & edit products. See “Fill in material data with Claude”.
- Claude cannot undo — 24 hours have passed, or the material is already in a BOM, a lot or a material order. At the top of the material card, click the three dots (⋮) and click Archive material.
