Add a material certificate

The certificate appears on the material card, with its number and how long it stays valid.

Before you start

  • The material is saved in Materials. A material you are still creating has no Compliance card yet.

Add the certificate

  1. 1Go to Production → Materials and click the material. In the Compliance card, under Certificates, click Add certificate.
Certificates sits in the Compliance card, between Origin and Customs.
  2. 2In Standard, pick the standard printed on the certificate, for example GOTS. Enter Certificate no., Holder, Valid from and Valid to as printed on the document. In Registry link, paste the address of the certificate in the issuer's registry. You can open it later from the certificate menu. If the certificate file is already on the material, pick it in File. Click Add certificate.
ImportantWhen the material name contains organic or bio, Compliance readiness needs a GOTS, OCS or ICEA Organic certificate. With recycled in the name, it needs GRS or RCS. The certificate counts only with File attached or Verified in registry. To get there, attach the file or verify it in the registry.

Check the result

Under Certificates, the certificate has its own row. Next to the standard, Valid shows the certificate is in date. When it ends within 60 days, you see the days left instead. Below are the number, the holder and the end date. The last line shows Unverified, or File attached if you picked a file.

A certificate saved without a file shows Unverified.

If it does not work

  • Add certificate at the bottom of the window stays grey — no standard is picked, or Valid to is earlier than Valid from. Pick a standard. If Valid to shows pick a date on or after Valid from, correct one of the dates.
  • Expired or Expires today next to the standard — the Valid to date has passed or is today. Get the renewed certificate from the holder and add it.
Next
  • Verify a certificate in the issuer's registry — a certificate without a file stays “Unverified”.
  • Attach a file to a certificate or test result — the other way to make the certificate count.
