Check what a material is missing

You see what a material still lacks for BOMs, material orders, production and compliance. Each gap opens the field that fills it.

Check and complete a material

  1. 1In Production → Materials, click the material. The Readiness card is in the right column.
  2. 2Read the four levels in Readiness: BOM, Material order, Production and Compliance. A level with gaps shows one label per gap and N missing. A complete level shows Ready. Choose which level to complete first:
    When youCompleteIts data goes to
add the material to a product's BOM“BOM”BOMs and the sewn-in label
order the material or cost a product“Material order”Material planner, material orders, costing
send the material to cutting and sewing“Production”Cutting room, sewing, sewn-in label
prepare an export invoice, a commodity code or a digital product passport“Compliance”Export invoice, commodity code (CN8), digital product passport (DPP), audit
Each label is one gap. Click it to go to its field.
  3. 3Click a gap, for example Weight (g/m²). The page moves to that field and puts the cursor in it. Some gaps open a section instead:
    • Shrinkage (length and width) opens Performance.
    • Care instructions opens Care rules.
    • Organic certificate with document or Recycled certificate with document opens Compliance.
    • Preferred supplier price or Price unit matches material unit opens Suppliers & pricing.
  4. 4Fill in the gap. For a field in Details, Specification or Compliance, click Save on the save bar. For more on each kind of gap:
    • fields under Specification: “Fill in the material specification”
    • shrinkage: “Record a material test result”
    • a certificate: “Add a material certificate”
    • Article code (Supplier): “Save the supplier article code”

Check the result

The gap you filled in is gone from its row. A level with no gaps left shows Ready, and the card header counts one more level ready.

If it does not work

  • No Readiness card on the page — the material is not created yet. Click Create material; the card appears on the saved material.
