Ask a maker for a quote

The maker prices your draft order, and accepting the quote confirms the order with those prices.

Before you start

  • You have a draft production order with a maker and at least one line. See “Create a production order from a run”.

Ask for a quote and accept it

  1. 1In Production → Production Orders, open the draft and click Send to maker. In Send as, choose Request for quote. Check Recipients and Reply by, then click Send request for quote. The status changes to Quote requested. If you already know the sewing price, keep Order in Send as. See “Send a production order to a maker”.
  2. 2Wait for the maker's quote. When it arrives, the status changes to Quotes received and your team gets an email. On the order card, click Compare quotes. The Quotes page opens.
  3. 3Check the quote. In Price per piece, read the price of each product and colour and the total under the table. On the maker's card, check Lead time, Minimum per colour, Sample fee, Setup fee and Total incl. fees.
WarningAccepting puts the quote's prices on the order and confirms it. Quantities stay as you requested them. The maker gets an email. You cannot undo the acceptance.
    • On the maker's card, click Accept quote, then click Accept quote in the window. The order card opens.
ImportantIn Terms, Ex-factory confirmed now follows the quote's Lead time. Check it against the dates you promised your customers.

Check the result

The order card shows Confirmed, and the header shows the order value, for example EUR · €2,678.00.
