Add pieces you already have on the shelf

Pieces that are on your shelf but not in Go4 become a new lot in the warehouse you pick.

Before you start

What you need	Detail
Data at hand	Where the pieces came from. “Reason” is a required field.
Already in the app	The product has at least one active colour and size.
Where to start	“Stock” → “Product Inventory” → the “Products” tab

Add the pieces as a new lot

1Find the product and open the row's menu, the three dots at the end of the row. Click “Add stock…”. The panel opens under the line “Creates a new lot for this product. Use it for pieces found in a stocktake or carried over from an earlier season — goods from a production order come in through that order instead.”

2Pick the colour and size in “Colour / size”. Every variant carries the caption “N on hand” or “none on hand”: how many pieces of that size are already on the shelf. A size that already has pieces brings up a warning: “This size already has N pcs on the shelf. If you are correcting a count, adjust the existing lot instead — adding creates a second one.”

The caption next to each size says how many pieces are already on the shelf — that is what tells you whether to add a lot or correct the one that is there.

3Describe what you are adding: type the count into “Quantity”, check “Location” and type where the pieces came from into “Reason”, for example “stocktake surplus”. “Location” opens with your brand's warehouse and you can change it. “Quantity” takes a whole number above zero.
How it worksSaving creates the lot and adds a row to your brand's movement log, on the “Movements” tab. That row is a “Received” movement and carries your reason, so the team can later tell a genuine find from a miscount.
4“Add stock” turns active once the colour and size, the count, the place and the reason are all there. Click “Add stock”, and the panel closes.
ImportantThe pieces are free to sell straight away. They count into “In stock”, they reach your shop and your B2B catalogue, and the allocator can promise them to an order waiting for this colour and size.

Check the result

The message reads “Added 6 pcs — lot LOT-20260919-259A98”, and the product's “In stock” figure on the “Products” tab is higher by the pieces you added.

Other situations

Take in goods from a production order or a return

The pieces come from a finished production order or from a return.

1Post the receipt on that production order's own card. A return comes in through the returns module.

If it does not work

What you see	Why	What to do
The panel has no form, only the line “This product has no active variants — add a colour and size first.”	The product has no active colour and size yet.	Add a colour and a size on the product card, then come back.
“Add stock…” opened a second time still shows the “N on hand” captions from before your save	The screen did not reload the list of colours and sizes. The lot you saved is correct.	Reload the page. The captions then show the count after your save.
The save does not go through: the message reads “Could not add stock” or names another reason	Go4 refused the save.	The panel keeps the values you typed. Try the save again.

Correct a lot's count or write it off — the pieces are already in a lot and only its count is wrong.
Check what a product has in stock — where your brand looks for the pieces you added.
