Open a collection and it stands on the “Collections” list, ready for the products, prices and channel offers you add to it. A new collection starts at the “Designing” stage, where it sells nothing yet.

Create the collection
- 1Click “New collection” on the list. The panel “Create collection” opens.
The columns of the list show what you are about to set: the stage of each collection and its prefix. - 2Type the name into “Name” — for example Spring/Summer 2026. This is the only field Go4 needs; it reads this way on every list, document and export.
- 3Type three letters into “Product prefix” — they start the number and the SKU of every product in this collection. Leave it empty and Go4 builds the prefix from the name.ImportantThe prefix can change only while the collection is in “Designing” and no accounting document is out for it. Changing it rewrites the number and SKU of every product already in the collection.
- 4Fill in what you already know: “Season” and “Year” for the collection code, “Estimated shipping” for the month it should leave the warehouse, and “Description” for the team. All of them can wait until the collection has products.
- 5Click “Create collection”. The panel closes and the collection appears on the list.

Other situations
Move the collection to another stage
Use this when the collection goes into production, or when the season is over.
- 1Open the collection and pick the stage on the “Overview” tab: “Designing”, “Production” or “Archived”.ImportantThe stage says where the work stands, not whether the collection sells. Archiving it takes it out of every channel at once.
The same card holds the prefix, and Go4 counts under it how many products a change would rewrite.
If it does not work
